Who uses an arrow holder/lock hunting a BIG THANKS to Kip
« on: October 01, 2014, 01:44:00 PM »
I need to find a good arrow holder, who uses what, and why do you like that model. Show me what works for you!

The best of the best, Kwik Lok. Easy to install, silent, easily removeable with 2 sided tape, foolproof.

I have them on all three of my hunting bows. Hadn't gotten around to put one on the Wallace yet but it's in the first picture.

I use them on all my bows just to keep the arrow on the shelf while the bow is hanging. I always release the arrow from the holder before I take a shot.

I use Sta-Jacs.  Not made anymore, but can sometimes find them on the auction site.  They're the absolute best IMO.  If you can't find one of those, the Kwik Locs also work well as reddogge notes.

Have been using these for many years.Pics shows save position but would be turned 90 degrees back of bow.

Ron-I used the 'sta-jac' arrow holder for years with great success. The best I've used, but as other's have said, they don't make any more. So now, I use the 'kwik loc' and it works good too. The disadvantage to kwik loc is the sticky glue wears off the first hunting season. Someone had a pic of their sta-jac just the other day on TG! Good luck to you this year! I'm out this year due to rotator cuff surgery.

Yes, the Kwik-loc is what I use, too.  It is very, very simple to put on and use, and easily releases the arrow when you draw.  I find them nearly mandatory for stand hunting.  I'm sure there are others that work much the same way and as well, though.  I probably wouldn't use it if I were stalking, but it can be on the bow and used if you need it at any time.

Kwik-Loc as well, it did not fit on my Predator bow so I figured I would put it off the front and remember to flick it off before I shot - well, I forgot and missed. make sure you use it off the back like you are suppose to - ha!

Reddogge:  That's a nice W. Wallace, by the way.  Looks a lot like one I used to have.

I tried the Kwik-Lock once, seemed really tight on my arrow and did not want to flick off easy. Then it fell off while hunting so I stopped using it.

My favorite was and still is the Sta Jac, been using them
For a very long time, they work great. If you can't find a
Sta Jac, look into "The Best Arrow Holder" by Grayling
Archery Products. It's made very similar to the Sta Jac but is
Installed with double sided tape.
The kick lock works good but doesn't fit every bow, the
Best Arrow Holder will.

Sta Jac...
Your Chicken from McDonald's, Tyson Foods, or Perdue Farms spent most of it's life stuffed in a cage with three or four others, occupying a space about the size of a book page...None for me, thanks...

I use the Kwik Lok. Its made out of rubber and can be easily trimmed to fit any bow and any size arrow

The best one made was the Sta Jac I have on my Nomad. The other one wears a Kwik Loc, only because I can't find a Sta Jac anywhere.
