Them Old-timey recurves
« on: September 28, 2007, 09:30:00 AM »
I like the older style recurves. I have an AS Kadiak, have a couple '57 bears, ect. this is a recent acquisition, a Kohannah Kurve.

I have an old Damon Howatt hunter that I got from a Gang member. Its one of the ooooold ones. One of my best shooting recurves. The grip fits my hand far better than the newer Martins with small tips. I'll add pics later.

I got lucky, my first 'curve is a Red Wing Hunter circa 1965-68. Not sure of the date because so many records were lost in a fire.

I always thought I'd like one. Traded for a Little Bighorn a few years back and can't get used to it. It's my only Bighorn that never leaves the rack now.

I have a Kurve too John.  It is a great shooting, great looking bow.  I originally bought it for a son, but because of it's light pull weight I used it for some target shooting.

SCATTERSHOT , How's it going. That was a good Boss recurve I bought from you but it was just too heavy for me so I traded it for hybrid longbow with lighter weight. Wish it had been lighter #

Hey, Dave. Sorry it was too heavy. It was a good bow. Glad you got something you could shoot.

Best,
Gene
