First doe of the yr
« on: October 09, 2014, 10:10:00 PM »
It was a good night to be in the woods for sure  with lots of family things going on with the oldest son  playing football but I was able to get out this evening and it was a success... breaking in my new to me Dale dye Bow and also some brand new arrows from Gary hall at D@M Custom arrows was great and had me excited.
The doe came in all by herself sneaking along a field edge and coming where I have never seen deer come before but go figure but I was able to get a good shot at her at 12 yds quartering away when I hit her immediately I knew it was good when I saw the blood pouring out of her and watch her pile up in 40 yds...i was using a Dale dye medicine pt recurve 60" 54#@28" with arrows from Gary being Easton bloodlines and simmons 175gr tigersharks on the business end!!

Nice work!
