I drew for friday at the refuge. Hate to bring the smoke pole but some meat is definitely tempting me.

One more outing with the ML then back to the recurve . I have had several chances , but just have not been able to get it done . Hunting with medical problems has me pushing my self to my limits , but not being able to do things just how I would rather . This has driven home to me just how important all the little things that we do as hunters are . I am tired and sore , and wint to do so much more. I am looking forward to Sunday's and Monday's cooler temperatures , and having the CH in my hands agean .

I was heading home today ,but Monday and Tuesday weather forecast has me thinking I may stay a little longer . I am going to try my  lone wolf hand climber this afternoon . I need to get out farther into the wet marsh . I have never used a climber be for and am somewhat nervous about it . We will see .

Still a sika rookie here but I learned early that if your feet aren't wet, you aren't going to see too many.

On another note, one was picked up dead on the road about 5 miles from my house last week.  They're expanding their territory.

This is the day I am headed home .I am packing up now . I could stay for ever , with the hope of the next day being the one where I get my shot . I had a good tome . The Dorchester marches are a special place . I had a number of opportunities at stags and hinds , but just could not get it done . I have learned a lot and only my own limitations kept it from happening . I we'll be back in November , on my way to or back from Thanksgiving with my daughter in NC . For all those not at full potential . Old age ,medical problems , or disabilities  . Get out and do what you can . Work at your own limits . Try not to get frustrated at what could be , but enjoy what is . There is no better tonic for your mind and body than the loving arms of mother earth .

May life's simplest things bring you the greatest pleasures !!!!

Sounds like you had fun Rich. After hunting a weekend with you, your limitations were not evident as far as I'm concerned. Keep doing what you love.

I used a strap , turning the hand climber into a sit down climber . I think I am a lock on guy .
