Just got me a helms deep!
« on: October 15, 2014, 04:06:00 PM »
Hey guys, I was going to put a SBD string on this thing and was wondering what you think about their silencers/string wrap vs the hushpuppy stuff.

Is there any reason I should order just the string and consider the hushpuppy or other silencers vs just order the string with the sbd silencers installed?

Just figured I'd kick this out there before I ordered.

I'm sure people will chime in with their recommendations, but why not kick this off with posting a poll?   The button is at the top of the page...

I usually have Pierre install string silencers on my longbow strings and add the recvurve yarn wraps on my curves. They come only in black, however, so if I wamt color to match bow or string, I do my own, in which case I likebowhush and hushpuppies.

Shoot it first, my static bows are pretty silent.

Get some acrylic yarn and make your own. Easy to do and  a roll of yarn will last forever for many bows.
