I've always carried at least on blunt-tipped arrow in my bow quiver while bowhunting. The reason being that oftentimes before I climb down from my treestand after legal shooting light, I like to pick something out on the ground like a leaf or tuft of grass then shoot at it. My hope is to nail it on that one shot. I'll also take a shot at a rotten stump or log while making my way to my ground blind just to make sure my shoouting form and range estimation is on. Quite often we bowhunters get so involved in the hunt we all too often forget to practice. Of course when I take my shots I take a good look around to make sure I won't spook game. Just wondering if other bowhunters do the same.
