OK fellow Tradganger's ... Let's hear your favorite combos. My favorite riser-limb combo is dark red cocobolo riser with yew limbs. Second favorite is dark bubinga and stained red elm. Also .... My favorite combo with colored glass is Osage and dark brown glass....love that combo. How about you ?

I have two elkantler and diamondback bows that I just built that are really cool.
I would have to say that macassar ebony and super curley koa are really nice though. Koa and fancy myrtle are right in there too. Cocabola and Mac ebony are too. LOL
As you can see I just have to have more than one bow because of wood alone.
God bless, Steve

My Elkheart has a 1/2 phenolic 1/2 Bocote riser and Macassar Ebony limbs and I adore it.  The Mac Ebony limbs are great camo for stalking the shadowy swamp areas here and the Bocote in the riser gives the bow some visual pop.  My Lil Slammer is Wenge riser and Carpathian Elm limbs and is incredible.  Carp' Elm is an amazing veneer.

Some of my favorite combos, riser and limbs:

Bocote and Mac Ebony
Mac Ebony and Bocote
Wenge and Carpathian Elm
Chechen and Koa
Koa and Myrtle
Cocobolo and Juniper
Zebrawood and Yew
Cocobolo and Yew
Cocobolo and Kingwood
Cocobolo and Juniper
Kingwood and Bocote
Shedua and Bocote
Mac Ebony and Eucalyptus
Any dark wood with Myrtle
Myrtle and Yew
Gonçalo Alves as riser or limbs paired with a dark wood

I always liked cocobolo or Macassar ebony and yew. That is until I got my latest Toelke. I went with zircote riser and bocote limbs. It is my new all time favorite.

Osage and Cocobolo in the riser.......limbs, I like Tamo Ash or a real grainy Elm, Osage works well also.
