A bottle of water. As long as I have my bow and arrows...and I'm properly dressed for the weather...I can improvise for just about anything but being thirsty.

I have a strand out of the inside of para cord tied to my top string loop. It's about 8" long, and I took my fingers and rubbed it until it frayed out. I ground hunt with bow accross my lap, with a quick glance I know the wind direction, no more moving or reaching for my puff bottle
Great idea cause I'm always misplacing my wind detector sqeeze bottle!

I bought a good pair of binos a couple years ago but didn't start wearing them regularly till I bought the shoulder/chest strap that holds them close to the body.  Great accessory cause it allows me to use my most important accessory... The binos.  I don't know how I got along without then before.

Yes, toilet paper; that is the one thing I would not be without.  Can't believe I forgot that.

Milk weed pods. Kenny McKenzie gave me a lifetime supply last week.   :D

Wet wipes are right up there though. I have one of the largest collections of half bandannas in the country.

Knife , binos , wet wipes , and I hate to say it but this cell phone I'm on right now while out hunting hogs tonight...it keeps me entertained on my rest break and is my camera and is always a life line if I were to do something stupid....

I actually have several that I do not go into the woods without. First Compass, butane lighter, tp, knife and cordage. That gives me fire, shelter. I also use the lighter to check wind. Way out. Its the lightest survival pack I have been able to come up with. Besides those a good folding saw and space blanket are handy.

God bless, Steve

Flying Dutchman

Probably my daypack with waterbag, a good knife and good boots.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

A handgun. Survival is not about building a fire or building a shelter anymore. Its about providing your own protection from the two legged scum prowling our corner of the woods.

If the hunting is slow, a camera can provide great entertainment. I see too many hero pics of a dead critter in the back of a pickup which is not fair to the critter. Since I am solo 99% of the time I am hunting, I bring along a small tripod on the off chance that I kill something and want to get a pic on the scene. I enjoy watching all wildlife, and from time to time I get a decent picture.
Binocs are a close second. I try not to go to the woods without either.

Thanks for sharing with us.

There are quite a few items listed that are also on my list but my number "!" has to be my Teresa Asbel "Hunter Image haversack".

I am so grateful for this user friendly product. It's quiet and has enough pockets in it that almost everything else on my accessory list fits inside.

I can access it without having to look at it and it's easy to determine which pocket I'm waiting an item out of.

Everything includes T.P., wind indicator,Knife,a couple of grunt tubes, bleat can,a "rack pack" garden shears, cell phone.

I don't think I've listed everything that's in there but these are the things I can remember off the top of my head this morning.

Thanks again for sharing your accessory list with us.

God bless,Mudd

PS: My thermacell attaches to my quiver which attaches to my Waldrop Pac seat.
