What Tab Is Most Similar To Damascus Glove
« on: October 28, 2014, 09:49:00 AM »
I am looking to try a tab and have always shot a Damascus glove.  I guess there is just something about that thickness of material that I like.

Is there a tab that is similar?

Does a tab require a thicker material to achieve the same purpose?

Any other comments or suggestions on trying to make the switch?

I am worried a bit about slapping my face and additional noise as that is what I have read as a possible problem with tabs in general.

Thanks,
James

I don't know if you'll find one that thin, I went from a damscuss glove to a Batemen tab, took alittle while to adjust but I would never change !

My opinion, their cordovan tab is the only one to go with. It will feel weird at first, but make yourself give it a go for a week without reverting to globe and I bet you don't go back. Get the Bateman cordovan with the leather hole to put your finger through instead of the one with the elastic. Be careful with the rubber finger seporater, it comes out kind of easy, only downfall with them. Lots of pros for teens, you can take a deeper hook, you can wear warm gloves etc. Unless you have really big hands or really long fingers, I recommend the medium size

I just received a Bateman cordovan 2 under tab. It is 2 layers of leather, a little thinner than the Black Widow tab or the Neet tab.
It is the best tab I've tried so far, for me anyway.
As mentioned above, give yourself time to adjust to the tab. I used a glove for 30 plus years but dont see myself going back. I like the elastic finger ring but I think any of their tab styles will be fine, just depends on what you like...just have to try them out.

Forgot to add, everyone is different, I like a thicker tab so I'l be ordering the same tab a little thicker grade, even though the one I received will work..it's a little thinner than I prefer.
They give you a really smooth release.
