Footing wood arrows with aluminum?
« on: October 28, 2014, 11:21:00 AM »
Just came across this somewhere. Something I'd try to keep using the doug firs when the point breaks off.

Find the best fitting aluminum shaft, epoxy a length onto the shaft, and blue in an insert? Anyone know what diameter I'd need for 11/32 shafts?
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, it's a 2413.

Check out the Reparrow footings. I've used them several times.  http://www.angelfire.com/biz/Ironwood/woodbows.html
