Weds was a cool cloudy day, one of them days that you'd expect to see bucks moving, front moved thur tues night an winds changed to nw perfect for this stand which is my favorite spot on farm.
I climbed in around 3:30 watching a small food plot about 30yds wide 200yd long,  he came out feedin in front of me@25yds but behind big pine in front of me while i was getting ready he bolted ran out end of plot full throttle, not sure what spooked him but i was heartbroken, wind was perfect couldn't see me through pines.
1hr10 mins later seen him comin back through pines an golden rod toward plot, he came out with his twin brother an feed to same spot without a shot,  they keep nudging each other round in circles feedinfeedin, then the 9pt went to other edge an made a scrape worked lickin branch and pissed his hocks. He made his way back to brother feedin an nudging each other an he finally circled far enough to my left in my openin givin me quarterin away shoot  for a split second as he was goin back behind pines, shot was high an spined him so no trackin, but after watching them 2 for over 20 mins i was coming unglued an was blessed with the whole experience an opportunity to take great buck!
This was the 3rd deer i've took from that stand in 3yrs with my lil hoot recurve i built 4yrs ago 54" 53@28 shootin fmj400s an simmons intercepter
God is great!
