Got home from work today and had a treat waiting for me. New custom made Blacktail bows sikta T2 recurve. It's currently pretty late so I didn't have time to field test but here are a few pics.  More pics in the next few days. She is a real looker!!

Beautiful bow,I was planning to order one myself in the same wood combo. How heavy is that Tuja burl compared to the other exotics? I wait for your review and a comparison with the Elite if you own one.

Just when you think the Blacktails can't get any better...BAM!...AND they are shortening the build time. Good stuff. I look forward to reading your impressions of this model.

Beautiful wood choices and of course excellent craftsmanship. Just amazing.

Thanks all for the kind words, I'm still just sitting and holding this bow like its hard to believe its even here. To answer some q's the riser woods are thuya and gaboon ebony and the limbs are tiger myrtle footed with thuya. Myrtle accents on riser and limbs. VERY happy with this combination. My impression is the thuya is actually somewhat light, at least in regards to the exotic wood spectrum, but the sikta riser still has some nice mass to it and the gaboon is definitely adding some of it. This weekend I'll run her through the steps and provide my thoughts, also compare with my snakebit (VL model 19in riser).

Awesome bow.  Blacktail and Dale Dyes are about my favorite bows to look at.
