It took the entire afternoon for it to actually sink in.  After spending a few days 'doubting' myself as a traditional archer I was beginning to wonder if I had what it took.  But, selling the compound helped 100% because I had nothing to fall back on.  It's not easy, but that's why we do it

Now - with #1 behind me I can concentrate on finding that Iowa giant!     :archer2:

My best guess is about 15'.  I use 3 lone wolf sticks and a lone wolf alpha as my set up.  It might look higher due to the angle of the picture and me standing slightly below the actual tree itself as well.

Thanks guys for all the comments & encouragement.  I think the rut will be on this weekend in Iowa - I'm pumped to be out!  Not easy to be working this time of the year....   :knothead:

Awesome dude. Its a great feeling to get that first one. It gives you great satisfaction to shoot it with a long bow or a recurve.
Any day above ground is a good day!
