Thanks everyone for the replies! It is a great accomplishment in my hunting career.
I can say this year I put countless hours into the farm and game management. Planting food plots, cutting trails, checking trail cameras along with spending hours looking at maps of the property looking for natural funnels. This successful deer season has been the birth child of my summer full of work.
I am glad that all of my work has come full circle. To be able to harvest yet another mature deer off of my family farm is such a great feeling.
Im not yet ready to be done hunting the rut. It is my favorite time of year and is so exciting. I will out again this weekend, mainly just to watch and enjoy nature.
To the one that asked about how much it weighed, I did not weigh it but can guarantee it was well over 200#. My sore back can attest to that!
Thanks again for all the kinds words and best of luck to everyone! My buck is down so its your turn now! Cheers SS
