Favorite 3D target maker?
« on: November 04, 2014, 09:10:00 PM »
Who makes the best?  Why?

In particular, what is everyone's favorite 3D black bear target?

Rinehart, because they're easy to pull arrows out of.

Rhinehart is also my first choice for the very same reason as stated by McDave.

Dosesn't hurt that they are also a fine quality target.

Rinehart.

Although to get a bear target from them, I believe you would have to add it to an Archery
club's order.

Not for certain, but for some reason I heard they do not sell their Big Game or Pro Line to individuals.

Maybe Big Jim knows the correct story.

Rinehart -- no contest. Ease of arrow pulling, durability, and artwork.

We can get you any Rinehart target you would like. A drop ship from their factory will save you money as well as I wouldn't have to pay the shipping to me first.

thanks, bigjim

Good to know there is a source for their nicer, big game targets.

I was misinformed. Thought you had to buy them through a club order.

I will be looking to add to my collection a little bit each year.

Glad someone asked this question, I need to get a new one for next year...now I know which one.

I looked at the rhineharts and they seemed so small.  Even the Booner buck was smaller than out doe fawns at this time of year.  Of course it can only help me to shoot small, but I am worried it will distort the perspective my brain uses for distance when a real deer steps out at my practice distances.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I like Rhinehart--great targets, unbeatable selection.

For tighter budgets, R&W makes a good target.

I have a Bear target I got from Big Jim. It's been great.  I am on my second insert and about due for a new one.  I do shoot a lot and take a couple BH shots daily.
