McBroom ASL

A couple of weeks ago I bought the McBroom ASL that Brian posted on the Sponsor's Classifieds. 68" 59@28, stringfollow, with brown glass over a 4 lam yew and actionboo core, and a highly figured bacote riser and tip wedges. The last photo shows the amount of stringfollow (I measure it at 1 1/4"). Fit and finish is superb. Light in the hand, quiet (even without silencers), smooth drawing, and no handshock. Shoots heavy arrows with authority.

That bow looks awesome, I remember wishing it was LH. Judging by the photos and his pricing, Brian's work appears to be one of the best values in an ASL today.

"string follow" - is that the "memory" in the limbs? I have a hill style bow that has the same thing(i left is strung too long, i think).

Dan, the string follow is actually built into the limbs. Most longbows take a bit of a set over time but the string follow is intentional per the design.

That bow looks clean and bomb proof. Sometimes I love the look of a bow that seems like it was built to be campainion on a 3 months trek through the rocky mountains. And I'm also growing to love the look of aged yew wood. Very nice indeed!
