Traditional Archery Career Over
«
on:
November 01, 2014, 04:40:00 PM »
After fighting and making it a lot worse I and my surgeon have come to the final conclusion, my archery career is over due to a left shoulder that is literally pins and needles. It is sad but life goes on. I will have everything for sale so those interested can pm me. Thanks and take care of your bodies.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I've been staring back surgery in the face for a while, and that's one reason I have avoided doing it. I hope you can enjoy all the other things in life that you like, despite the shoulder problems. Best of luck to you.

I'm sorry to hear this Keith. My best friend is concerned he may be finished as well. He's had a frozen shoulder since early summer.

Age and our past does catch up to us all eventually. Have you considered hunting with a really good camera? Everything you see will be in season, and you can share the candid lives of all those creatures with us here.

Go hunting with the camera . Can you use a hand gun to hunt with. Still get out there and hunt any way you can.

Dang Keith, I remember you were healing up about two or three years ago when I met you at Baltimore!
I'm sorry to hear about this, is there any way you could shoot LH?
It would be pretty cool to be a state champ LH and RH!

Sorry. I have been able to come back from not being able to shoot due to a shoulder injury. I know that it could flair up at any time and put me in the same boat as you are in. I hope I can handle it as well you seem to be when I get to that point. Good luck

Hunt any way you can - get out there. Past does catch up with us. Hate the shoulder issue but step back, regroup, and attack from another direction.

I like Roadkill's suggestion. Sometimes one door closes and another one opens. A camera or maybe picking up a rifle...? For me being out in His creation doing something would be a blessing.

Remember Bob Thompson broke his arm or something one season. He worked on shooting his w/ his feet. Believe he killed some stuff shooting like this.

So sorry to hear your misfortune. Any chance of shooting a mouth tab? Please keep your head up. If I can help you in anyway please don't hesitate to ask.
