Acquiring sinew?
« on: September 29, 2007, 02:21:00 PM »
What sinew are you keeping out of a deer and how do you preserve/prepare it for later use in your bows.  I would like to acquire enough to back a longbow and have some to try my hand at arrow making as well.  Any information would be appreciated.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.

I get my sinew at a local butcher during the rifle season.  Ask if you can have all of the cut off legs and you will get all of the sinew you could want.
