He's made it safe and sound to his new place. The move was trying and a ton of work but he seems to be settling in. He's having some issues with his heat pump but I'm sure he'll get that all straightened out soon enough. I'm hoping he finds some good hunting and fishing there as that was one of the motives for him to relocate. He'll be missed by his friends in PA for sure.

To my knowledge he still hasn't selected an internet provider and is working off a new email address on his phone only. I know that's one of his priorities and hopefully we'll see him back on TG before too long.

I've been in touch with him quite a bit.Like said above, he's safe and sound in Kentucky now, but still hasn't settled in yet.... If you know Dave very well, that may take him a spell. The old boy likes ALL his ducks in a row....LOL

Thanks, all! Kirk is correct: I do my part to be proactive in setting up things and foolishly expect people in CS to do their job.  Heat is working, a good thing as its a bit cooler than normal here in TN.  No hope of hunting this fall, lest I drive 10 hrs N and I never had GOOD hunting in PA, so maybe next year... Couple deer hangingnoutnin a thicket few hundred yards from my back yard, but no license... Thanks for the kind remarks. More when get real internet

It's good that Kirk is better at bow building than geography, lol! Dave is an official "sutherner" now and y'all got to get it right.

Glad to know all's going well Dave.  You're going to enjoy it there.....don't let all the crap involved in your move taint that.  Personally, I'd rather take a butt-whoopin' than move!

This year the state of PA initiated a new beautification project.

Step #1: Get Dave Landis to move out of the state!

Ah, it looks better already!

Glad you made it OK Dave! LOL!

Take care man.

Dave,

If you haven't been there before, make sure you schedule a trip to Pigeon Forge/Dollywood in the nxt 6 months, or so.  Welcome to the South and redneck country!

Depending on what part of TN you are in...come spring look up Lost Tribe (West TN), Twin Oaks (Middle TN), or Ye Olde Fartes (East TN)...or all three.  All host some great 3D shoots, plus Twin Oaks hosts the TN Classic and I think the IBO Trad Worlds will be back there in 2015.

Besides that, maybe some of them can help you out finding somewhere to hunt.

Well hell.... Kentucky.... Tennessee.... It's still way too far east either way for my liking. But i would love to come take in that Trad Worlds event some time. Of course trying to get old Dave to go camping again in an "RV ghetto" would be like trying to pull teeth...LOL

Lbr,

I'm in East (Greeneville) so perhaps I can do as suggested on 1 of 3.  From all I hear, I'd rather be whupped and run thru salt nekid than do Dolly wood! :0

Finally...FINALLY have internet... feel free to give me a shout... sure feels grand to be back so's I can communicate

I appreciate the well wishes... so far, it's just work...but never killed anyone!

Glad your getting settled...... Dollywood ain't that bad, been there 3 times. It was better years ago, but still can be a good time. Best of luck!!

Nice to see you're getting settled.  There is some awesome Rainbow fishing to be had in Gatlinburg.
