Bronchitis Buck - Big Six Down
« on: November 10, 2014, 09:36:00 AM »
Well, after shaking what has been the worst bronchitis for the last month. I finally didn't alert every deer in a 100 yard radius with a coughing episode Saturday night.  I had seen this deer three weeks earlier.  He had been spooked by a fellow hunter.  I saw him and two other bucks running across a field in front of me.  I said that's a big six.  Well long story short, he came in to the flat I was hunting to check his scrape.  He was met with a single bevel grizzly on a 55-75 gold tip (540 gr. arrow) from my confidence bow, my Blacktail Elite, [email protected]", 62" bow.  Here he is for the hero shots the next morning:

Chart says he was 152 live weight.  Thanx to my hunting brother Danny (Two Hats) for helping me drag him out and being my photographer.

Way to go Jeff, think you have almost as much gray going on as I do. Blacktail seems to be your go to bow for sure. Good job.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
