Shoot through mess on blinds

With Trad equipment can you shoot through this mess without effecting arow flight?

My dad and I tested this extensively on Ameristeps blinds and found no dramatic change in accuracy through the screens.

Shoot through the mesh with full confidence. With a cut on contact head it is not a problem at all.

One can even consistantly and effectively shoot a trad setup through the mesh when utilizing a string tracker.

I bet I have shot close to 100 critters thru mesh in the windows of my ground blinds. And a whole bunch of those were using a String Tracker, as Friend alluded to above!

I will add this though, try not to shoot at real severe angles to the netting. Sometimes the feathers can catch on the netting (only on real severe angles) and bungle things up. Also, practice shooting thru netting before you hunt that way. The netting can mess with your depth perception a bit.

One thing to be aware of though... well tuned arrow to bow is absolutely necessary!!!

I shot through the mesh with an arrow that was improperly spined for the bow. It was NOT my bow but MY arrows seemed to shoot fine from the bow at 15 yards plus.

When I shot at a turkey (I have it on video) at about 6 yards from the blind, the arrow had not recovered and struck the bird at such an angle that I got ZERO penetration. This was with a razor sharp broad head.

Properly tuned, you'll have no problem at all.
