A thankful Veterans Day
« on: November 14, 2014, 03:30:00 PM »

First off I would like to thank all those who have served. I had the holiday off and planned to hunt till 11:00 or so then after a mid day break head out till dark. This would be my last opportunity till gun season arrived.

At 8:40 A young 4 pt came up the trail I was hunting. I immediately stood when he was behind a tree to afford me the ability to pivot depending in his route.I was offered a 12 yard broadside shot. At the impact I could see blood pouring down his side .

He only made it 50 yards and fell over in sight. I was using my 50 lb Hill style bow I made for this season. CX Heritage 150 s with 190 gr Meatheads and 75 gr steel adapters. 600 gr total.

I am so thankful for the way things worked out. Thanks for looking, and best of luck.

Awesome brother! Congrats. Im gun hunting with Noah this weekend but if I have any tags left afterwards I plan to hunt with "Hippy Chick". My Glenbo osage beauty for the rest of the season. I didn't know you were doing laminated bows too. That one looks super classy.

Well Done Glen. I know hunting by your house has become challenging.
