I had an old Tradition Thom and did use FF as I recall.

Not a lot of people know Harry was the creator of Grizzly broadheads.

Yeah Ray, and one of my favorite 2 blade head, the Wolverine! Wish I had more.

Looked at a 1990 3 rivers cat, walnut was probably the belly lam! Bamboo, red elm were his other favorites to use.

Well I am colorblind and when I asked my son, he said it had a reddish cast to it. So I  thought possibly, red cedar.

I am too-  I have experience with that bow is the only reason I know.   That and the fact that it's nearly 30 years old- and I know purple heart when exposed to UV Rays does turn that color  - like the way Osage goes from bright yellow to honey brown

I saw 6 Elburg Cheetah serrated broadheads, 140 gr, new in original package sell for 91.64 plus 3.50 for shipping recently on the big auction site. I'm not sure they were worth that much. I stopped bidding at around 38 bucks.

For Twigflicker...:) The quiver is one of those "kid" models that GN use to craft. It's much smaller than the regular size ones. The bow is tiny and crafted out of osage. Did I mention "osage"? :)

wow, foxbo that's some markup on those Cheetahs...if we'd only known back in the day, right?  It would have been a better investment than stocks for sure!!!!

Wonder who bought them? They remind me of old times. I still have a couple of the green and brown ones.

If I ever take any new photos, I'll pass them your way. I have not taken that bow off the rack to shoot it in a couple of years. Don't want to get any scratches on it. :) It's almost too pretty to shoot....

I'm still battling bell's palsy, prostate cancer, and a herniated disc in my back this Fall.

I wasn't able to climb trees. No deer with archery equipment. I did manage to shoot two scrub bucks with my flintlocks.

Growing old ain't for sissies.
