Lone Wolf buckle covers
« on: November 23, 2014, 04:24:00 PM »
I have saw where some folks but bicycle inner tube over them and saw where someone was using kayack paddle grips. That got me to thinking. So, I rounded up 3 can coozies (you can make 2 covers from each cozie )   Had the wife sew thim into tubes about 2 1/2 inches long. Slide them over the buckles and you are done.  Just made these so I haven't used them yet, but it looks like they will work real good. I had her sew them with the colored side out and then turned them inside out so they are all black.
Hopes this helps out someone

I use the inner tube on mine.  Good idea there!

Agreed. Is this in the ladder sections? Which is the same as the stand straps?

Would like to see pix as well!
I duct tape the buckles on my Lone Wolf. I also, duct tape a large portion of the platform.
I still "clunk" from time to time if I am not careful, but the tape definitley dampens the sound.

Went out for a little while this evening. The buckle covers worked great. Sure was nice not worrying so much about the buckles bumping the stand. I made 5 of these put them on the stand buckles and the three ladder sections.
They are really simple to make   Just cut up a can coozie wrap it around the buckle so it is tight.  Sew it together to form a short tube.  I had thought about using the bike inner tube but wasn't sure what size to buy. I had several coozies  laying around.  if you would like pics pm me a phone number and I would be glad to text some
