Dan  Gang, the next time you watch it, look for Howard, he appears many times in the movie! Jacques

Some of the bows being shot in the movie looked like semi-recurves.  Did anyone else see that?

If you buy the double DVD of the movie Robin Hood the second disk has the making of the movie with the Cavalcade of Archery showing Howard Hill doing his trick shooting.

Here is you tube link to Cavalcade of Archery thats on that disk.

Can you believe shooting a prune off a guy's head. I guess he really did it according to the film.

Yeah, I saw it. The Errol Flynn version is my favorite Robin Hood. However, we were having a thunder storm, and the satellite signal was lost just before "the shot". What a bummer! That is my favorite archery scene ever. I always enjoy the short features of Howard Hill.
