Problem with Asbell wool

I just got my evening stand brown jacket in and I must say the thing is beautiful.  It will work perfectly while I am trad hunting.  I ran into one major problem, I can't just use this as a hunting jacket and I am going to be finding myself wearing it everywhere.  Very awesome stuff and I am more than please with the quality I got for that price.

I do believe Mr. and Mrs. Asbell need to take better pictures because the pictures they have on the website do not do their work justice.  I will be buying more stuff from them in the future.  As soon as I opened the package my wife said she wanted one.  

I know this is not strictly bow hunting topic but they are a sponsor here are deserve our praise and support.

I have one piece that I dedicate for wearing while not hunting (so not to worry about odors that may be absorbed) and a "few" others that are dedicated to hunting.  Great stuff.

Agreed!  Awesome stuff!! I just got a haversack and the wool is beautiful.  Something about wool that feels right.

Problem I have with it is there are too many choices. Great for hunting and every day wear too.

Just received my very first wool coat in the Timber Ghost pattern---looks and fits great. I know I'm going to love wearing it hunting, and probably elsewhere. Real quality garment.

That Evening stand (brown or green) pattern is just awesome.  I have a very nice heavy vest (made by another) using ES green and I found it difficult to even wear it hunting cause it was so nice looking !

I love my Asbell wool. I wore my EGS light/medium weight zip up with an old tree bark down vest last nite when I took my little girl to the Christmas parade.

I've wore that particular (my first Asbell wool product) jacket every chance I've had since I received it in August. I liked it so much that I bought an extra heavy timber ghost zip up on the Trad Gang appreciation day. It arrived today and I love it as well. I hope to try it out hunting this weekend.

My only complaint with my ESG is that the sleeves shrank a good five inches after wearing it in the rain one day. As I type this, I'm in the process of washing and trying to block them out as recommended on the GFA site. Even if it doesn't work...or god forbid they shrink more...I'm still 100% satisfied with it. Worse comes to worse, I'll just cut the sleeves out and have a vest with a hood.

Update: The sleeves stretched back out to their original length perfectly. I'm a happy camper.

I asked for an evening stand extra heavy XL zip up jacket for Christmas.  I'm 6' and 225....I'm hoping XL is not too big.  I plan to use it as my outer layer so I need it to fit over a couple other layers.

"gvdocholiday" u can rest easy. The xl should be just right at your body size if u are layering. You can't go wrong with Asbell wool. I'm leaving tomorrow AM for Oklahoma with 3 pieces packed and loaded. I simply love the stuff that Teresa puts out. I'm officially nominating her for membership in the Bowhunting Hall of Fame.

I wear mine to church on a regular basis as well as everywhere else. They work as well in town as they do in the woods.

I love mine as well.

I love the fact that no one would guess that I just walked out of the hunting woods.

It's as if it works as my concealment both in and out of the woods.

Those folks that wear their full camo into the stores give themselves away whereas I blend right in with the rest of the crowd...lol
