I believe you are talking about Mike Mitten's book, One With the Wilderness, which by the way is sitting on the table next to my chair.  It is a must read for anybody who loves adventure and great story telling.

Here are a couple of does I killed this season with "Houlihan"  She's a 55@30 62" short riser bow with Chechen riser and Yew limbs.  I use a Easton 340 Aftermath full length with a 250 head up front.

Michael that was some great video work, self filming with a recurve is just awesome, and great shots on both bucks!!!
