Back Mounted TD Limbs?

Just curious, what if any advantage is there in mounting TD limbs on the back of the riser, as on Widows and the CM Firebird.
I'm asking as I noticed the Firebird appears to have a noticably larger sight window than my CM Hunter 56, and the Firebird is the same length...

Moves the fulcrum point further forward and supposed to make a bow more stable when designed properly.

Widows, Checkmate, Browning, Habu, Rocky Mountain Archery(not Rocky Mountain Recurves, they were different), Jimbow, Shaftcaster and Stillwater Archery are just a few, that I remember off the top of my head, that mounted limbs that way. At least on some of their models.
Either way, if designed and built correctly, you will have an excellent bow. True or not, I've heard that you can have a lower brace height with limbs mounted on the back.
And of course what vermonster13 said!
