my next bow

Here is where everyone gets to jump in. Im ready to get a longbow. I want a 2 piece takedown. I would prefer the carbon sleeve. Probably going with a r/d. Looking at sky longhorn and now a ten brook. So with that in mind wha the options are worth the extra money. Carbon on front? Bamboo vs maple cores. Also any advice on wood choices or anyone with ifo on the 2 bows I mentioned above. Also , of course, feel free to add bows for me to look at.

Look at Big Jims Buffalo bows. They are a work of art and shoot as good as they look.

I second the vote for Big Jim's bows... Especially the Thunderchild. Very good shooter and forgiving too

Agree with RonW. I just received a new Black Widow PLX take down here a few weeks ago. In regards to shooting and feel of the bow I can't tell any difference between the take down and one piece PLX that I received back in August.

No dog in the hunt but you might ask some owners of Tenbrook bows what they think. I personally would put them on a par with any that have been mentioned so far. I would imagine that you would be very happy with a Tenbrook bow.
Tenbrook is a sponser and I have heard nothing but good about the bows and the bowyer. Check out the review section and see what is on there.
You also might check out the sponsers list as there are a whole lot of really great bowyers that are Trad Gang sponsers.
God bless, Steve

I'm on the Big Jim TC bandwagon, though my current most favorite is his 62" Desert Bighorn recurve.

I'm also recommending Big Jim. Just bought a Big Jim Thunder Child TD two weeks ago and love it. Drove down to his place and Big Jim spent 3 hours talking to me and my wife and letting me shoot 4 or 5 different bows until I found the "right" one. Can't ask for any better service than that. That bow shoots where I'm looking.
