New here and to trad archery

Hello all. I'm new here and to traditional shooting. Shot compound all my life. I've been wanting to get a recurve for a while now but never did. Well my wife surprised me with a sage recurve for Christmas thanks to one of my good buddies. He also happens to be a member here and talked me into joining up.
Site is very informative. A little overwhelming tho. Never knew there was so much to traditional gear. So far I love it. I've shot as much as possible. I feel like it's just the start of my traditional journey. Thanks for a awesome site and I look forward to learning so much from you all.
Jon.

Good deal Jon! You are about to learn all about 3 under, split, follow through, cock feather in-cock feather out-cock feather up,
snap shooting, hold before shooting, instinctive shooting, point of aim shooting.......... Overwhelming, what are you talking about?
Welcome aboard buddy, take it all in,sift through it and find something that works for you. The simpler the better. Enjoy that new bow and have fun!
Good Shooting,
Craig

Welcome!!!
It doesn't have to be overwhelming. Shoot with some buddies and pick a few flowers along the way. Soon your basket of knowledge will be overflowing.

Welcome from Oklahoma! You are definitely in the right place to feed your new-found addiction!
Don't let it overwhelm you. As my mom likes to say, "You can only eat an elephant one bite at a time." Just enjoy the journey, and learn what ya need to along the way.
