Limbskin on back and belly of bow limbs?
« on: December 30, 2014, 08:13:00 PM »
Has anyone ever put limbskins on the belly and back of their limbs. Was wondering if the bending of the limb would prevent the limbskin from adhering properly on a longbow. Thanks for any input

I've used them, but never on the belly of the limbs. Used them for camo only. The limb flexes and it was never a problem, so I suppose you could put them on the belly also.

Contact Onestringer. He can probably give you the best information if it will work or not.

I don't know much about them, but have an aversion to putting non-working materials on my bow limb's.  Would these slow the bow?

Not limbskins, but other vinyl camo tape... on a set of ILF limbs... they were glossy silver on both sides... by my eye I could not tell a lick of difference speed wise...

I'd say very few if any would be able to know the difference shooting wise...

Won't affect anything enough to notice, except visual appeal.  Skinning the back and belly can make for a very "busy" look IMO.  Whatever floats your boat.
