I too use the felt furniture pads. I have a 48 pack that cost me under $2

I think Mole skin would be a little thin. I also use Velcro or bear/calf hide when available.

soft side of velcro X what ever the count, I have tried many different things, Velcro seems to be the longest lasting, quietest, most forgiving I have used.

Mole skin is more expensive than velcro.
