Introduction
« on: January 02, 2015, 07:05:00 PM »
My son has brought me back into archery. I started with a longbow at age 5, and shot regularly till age 23 when an elbow injury made me hang up the longbow. I shot a 40# compound with 40% let off for a couple of years off and on, but didn't bond with that bow, so I quit all together. Now at age 46 my 14yo son has been bitten by the recurve bug. Well I can't teach him iffin I don't show him. Picked up a nice Browning Spartan for me   , and a 30# td for him. No issues with the elbow so far with two months of shooting.  Man I've missed this.

Welcome back to trad archery ! Knock on the door and prepare to have your mind blown at how many guys and gals have made  a 40# trad bow into a tack-driving, game killing machine!

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

Thanks for the warm welcomes folks. I figure if continue with the daily practice I will be in hunting form this fall. The feel returned quickly, my form is stable, and ive already had to switch to six circle shooting as to not destroy my arrows (12yds).

The Trad Expo. My brother just sent me a flyer. Is there gear available,  or is it just demo type stuff. I've had to retool myself for archery, would like to get my hands on arrow and string material.  I have shopped online, but I'm more the touchy/feely type.
