Schafer Grip vs TT Grip
« on: January 04, 2015, 07:28:00 AM »
Ok guys here is my question.. I have two Tall Tines, one is Brian's medium grip and one is his low grip. Out of the two I prefer the low and may end up having him change the medium to a low grip eventually. I have shot one SilverTip and it was Dave's medium grip which I liked. I have a Tip on order and should receive it this summer. Can anyone give me some insight on Dave's low grip as compaired to Brian's?

I have a number of Tips and TTs.  I find the TT low grip to be close to the Tip medium.  I have only seen one Tip with the low grip and I felt it was lower than the TT, but still very good.

I cant compare to the TTs low grip.  I have several Tips.  Two (2) have a low grip.  I like the low grip as much as the med grip.  My biggest concern on a grip is a small throat.  Thats more important to me as I dont have large hands.

I have several silvertip takedowns that have a low grip. I also have some medium low grip schafers. I like the low grip better, I have Dave leave a little bit extra wood on the right side of the grip to keep my hand from moving around to the right.  I am a left hand shooter.  Haven't shoot a tall tines but thought this might help.  ps. make sure you get the checkering, I just think it makes the grip so much better.
