Recurve Rabbit
« on: January 04, 2015, 09:25:00 PM »
My 4 1/2 year old beagle Polly is really starting to figure out running rabbits.  It helps that our little 15 acre woodlot was logged a few years back to make for some excellent cover and a lot more bunnies than in years past.

Well, it just so happens that Polly ran poor Bugs right into me today.

I was using my Tall Tines with 40# limbs I bought in the Trad Gang classifieds.  The arrow was a legitimate "rabbit" arrow as it came from the 5 gallon bucket full of cast-offs that I keep saving for this purpose.  Just a .38 Special case crammed onto a field point.

Nice looking beagle! I've got 3. Now I'm motivated to get them out running.
