Elk Burr Limb Bolts ?
« on: January 08, 2015, 11:12:00 AM »
Looking at my Silvertip,I have noticed that the Whitetail Antler bolts, appear on the small side, compared to the riser and limb width of the Bow.Im thinking a bigger Burr would more closely match the dimensions, and flow more with the profile.Anyone ever use smaller sized Elk burrs for limb bolts? Thanks Guys!

They would probably work. Should also be able to find larger whitetail burrs as well.  One issue with going larger is they're more likely to catch on stuff.

I have seen them.  I saw a guy at ETAR with huge Elk burr limb bolts.  They were easily 3" across.  I was the opposite with my takedown longbow.  I had to find the perfect size whitetail burr to just cover limb and not stick out.
