That would be a spectacular journey, but you'd best take the big canoe.    :bigsmyl:

Mostly I AM living the dream, but, to add to it,...how about a bison (as long as I had help!) and a brown bear when I find someone I trust completely with a big bang stick to back me up.

I'll be chasing Mt goat this fall with a stick and string, moose also, black bear and deer on Shuyak Is.

My fantasy critter would be a leopard! With what other animal can you literally "pick a spot" to shoot at?

I'd have to say my dream hunt would be a week "in my backyard" for moose, elk, caribou, black bear, sheep, goat, and mulies.

Wil be close to that this fall when I head up to northern bc for as many GOS hunts that I can handle. Biggest problem is hauling all that meat out on my back. Any takers to be a pack mule?

What are the requirements (guide or not) to hunt in BC? For a US citizen.

Take an Oregon Blacktail buck with my Blacktail bow.  A nice 6 X 6 Colorado Elk.  Moose.

I think Cape Buffalo or Water Buffalo is off the table.  Perhaps I could work up to 75 or 80 pounds.  We'll see.

My dream hunt is to call in an Alaskan Moose in full rut and take him with a long bow. Unfortunately i'm afraid i'll never get the chance. I've got contacts up there, and could put the trip together no problem... But i just can't justify the expense with so many other things going on....

But it's still my "Dream Hunt"

For big game you need to be with a guide, if related to someone the could use the hunter host license. Huge problems between resident hunters and guides right now. But fujimo and I would love the extra hands for small game and packing.  ;)

I was a registered guide in Alaska for many years but would love to hunt in either BC or the Yukon.

That's easy- I would love to go on a wilderness hunt  for Elk and high country Mule Deer. Walk in, camp out for 2 or 3 weeks and walk out. Take a couple good friends with me. Purchase a good camera and bring it too, but other than that leave electronics behind. Bring minimal rations and use my bow to procure meat to roast on the campfire.

I would still love to connect with an elk. I have chased them for many seasons and have been close, seen them, had my heart pumping, but no elk with the bow yet.  I would like to get this elk with a longbow while my knees are still in the game.

yup Rick- thats a lot of meat   :D , but we know how that goes-
thats just the tags that are available over the counter- no draws, no limited entry etc- if i got one out of the bag- i would be ecstatic- if not... an awesome trip!!

My biggest dream hunt would be water buffalo with a longbow in Australia. I know that will never happen but dreams keep us going
I'm actually going on another dream hunt this fall for moose in Alberta. One I've always wanted
I have been lucky enough to do a few hunts that 20 years ago I never thought I would. Took 2 caribou in northern Quebec right before that got all screwed up, black bear in Alaska by spot and stalk, a 410# black bear in Ontario , mountain lion in CO. Not as much as some guys, but I feel lucky to have those

I would have to say mine is either hunting elk in New Mexico or Wyoming or moose in Canada.

Tom, when you're ready for the big bang stick backup holler, I'll gladly back ya up!  I've had enough bear shooting unless its a blackie for the freezer!  That or you need to smear honey on someone and let them run, I arent afraid of no bears LOL!

I'm with Tom, I'm living it!  Its been a dream since I can remember, and its now in my front yard.   I'd like to visit Nz and Africa but if I never do I'm just thankful to be able to look out my window knowing I'm here.   Lord willing I'll be looking forward to more adventures in the future!   You guys who want it, its easier than you could ever imagine with a little planning!

I'd be tickled with many hunts but Bighorn sheep in Montana is at the top of my list.

Alaska or the Yukon for caribou and grizzly. After checking my bank account, I will settle (happily) for elk, deer, bear, and the occasional foray for hogs.
