Go calling for a wolf. And go to Africa and call for jackles and hyenas. And with back up call in a Russian brown bear. And just to get any legal deer.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Just a question, why a Russian brown bear? Calling in coastal brownies in Alaska is a pretty serious adrenaline rush! They often come in like a starving coyote and sound like a freight train coming through the brush!

Colorado elk with my son
Or a big bear with my son,
Or a moose with my son,

As long as we had somebody to haul it out for me.  Backpacking and hauling meat out probably is not an option for me. A float trip would be fun, in Ak.

A bull elephant with a recurve. Ever since I saw the video of Fred Bear taking one with a single arrow from a 75 pound kodiak it has been my dream hunt. I'm going to be building my "elephant" bow sometime in the next year and it will probably be around 90@31 but it isn't likely it'll ever see africa, so it'll have to be satisfied with whitetails.

Sheep are out - too expensive.
More practical would be moose.  Feeling pretty ineffective as a Bowhunter these days.  Last day of turkey today and I only hunted here at home one morning. Did bow kill first Merriams on April 14 though.

I'm living the dream.
I'd like to help my brother get a Moose tho. He's been here twice and can come again next year.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I've had lots of opportunities to hunt all over the world over the years.  But my hunt of a lifetime will be when I can be there when Jason gets his first bull elk and when my grandson Henry goes on his first hunt with his bow.

A giant wilderness Canadian whitetail ! Too bad a man can't do a DIY hunt in Canada. I'd settle for a wilderness DIY hunt in the northern 48 though, like the boundry waters or something.

There have been several Dream hunts already and they lived up to my expectations.  Two that have been on the dream hunt list are Dalls Sheep (after reading Jack O'Conner's accounts in Outdoor Life) and Red Stag.

Sheep are out now.  At 67 neither my body nor my wallet is in shape to do sheep.

Stag on the other hand is still a full on glimmer.  I'd love to chase them in Scotland if or when they allow bow hunting, or Eastern Europe.  Been to Argentina once for birds and would love to go back for Red Stag.  Last and likely the most expensive would be New Zealand.  A couple of months roaming the countryside fishing, hiking and ending with a Red Stag hunt during the roar would be superb.

Oh wait, forgot about Alaska.  Always been on my dream hunt list and I've never been - yet.  Moose and Caribou float hunt - yep.

I'm not sure. Really any big bear would be a kick in the pants.

If you ever get a chance to call brownies, I suggest a good backup. I'm sure you've had coyotes in your lap before. I can promise you that you DO NOT want a hungry growler that close without a good bangstick, sometimes not even then! The traditional archer is best served with ambushing a brown/griz on a salmon stream, or spot and stalk in the berries. Try not to attract attention to yourself!

I have a few animals that haunt my dreams.  I've missed an Elk and an antelope and those are amazing creatures.
There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that gets me going like a big 'ol sexy bull moose.  I've been at 10yds from my dream animal without a tag in my pocket with him grunting his fool head off.  Plus, that is the only animal mount that my wife says that I can put upstairs on the fireplace.
