Anyone shooting a Firefly longbow?
« on: January 17, 2015, 07:13:00 AM »
Thinking about getting one. What can you tell me about them? Do they have good speed, quietness, smoothness etc? Thanks, Bob

Top scores in all categories.  Great bow!

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Bob,
I don't currently own one but have had about three over the years.
They are extremely nice shooting bows. Comfortable grip, very, very nice craftmanship, extremely quiet, spine tolerant, and plenty of speed for me. I would not hesitate to own another one.
If you have the opportunity to get your hands on a Firefly, I don't believe you wil be disappointed i any way!!   :archer2:

My top 3 piece bow. I have the longbow and his new Static tip recurve. Have shot both and I am now only shooting the Static. Join the family and his prices are mostly lower than high priced long wait bows and when shooting and comparing I think I really got a deal when I shoot the Firefly.

I used to have one of his bows I bought from a friend who order another Firefly and it shot really nice....just wrong lbs for me so I sold it.  There are a number of people in the Trad archery league I organize who shoot Firefly longbows and one shots his recurve...which is fast and smooth shooting.    Jim is an incredable bowyer....and pserson!
