Headed to Maryland for Sika
« on: January 17, 2015, 10:27:00 AM »
Dave Grant (canopyboy), Gary Hall, and I are heading to Maryland tomorrow for a 3 day sika hunt with Muddy Marsh Outfitters.  This hunt was won in a raffle by Roy from PA, but Roy decided he didn't want to kill one of those little buggers and he's more content to build bows and fling arrows than kill deer these days, so he offered it to me.  THANK YOU ROY!

This is the first any of us have hunted Sika, so it will be a whole new experience.  Wish us well, and hopefully we'll have some success pics to post.  Whether or not we kill any sikas, I'm sure it's going to be a great time!

Have a great hunt. I hunted with them about 3 years ago. Had a great time with an all Trad Gang crew.

Muddy Marsh is a good outfitter so you should have a good hunt. Take hip boots and Thermacells though.

September 5 through January 31. If you purchase the muzzleloader tag. You can use your bow throughout the firearms seasons.

Enjoy, and good luck!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

The truth of the matter is you dream of this....

But you usually come home with this.....

But at any size or sex these things are a trophy.
