Thom aka sticksandstones Northern Mist is the quietest bow I've ever shot. A lot of self-bows are very quiet like your uncles Daniel. On performance vs. handshock vs. quiet = A&H. rat'

I won't say I've shot as many bows as most here but I will say my slick stick is the quietest I've shot.
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6

Jack Harrison HSS, Morrison Shawnee/ carbon foam limbs, Leon Stewart 3pc Slammer, and not necessarily in that order. Since I could hardly hear them, it is  hard to choose, but the Morrison is a flame thrower!

Black River longbow... All I can say is that you better have a "second chance" arrow close, real close ..just in case you give them a " warning shot".. Don't ask how I know   :banghead:

The quietest is a '62 Kodiak. Just a low thump. Another quiet one according the those I've shot with is a Titan III riser with BF Extreme limbs. More of a tiny "doink" sound.

I'd have to say it's a toss up between my NM Shelton and my Two Tracks Echo. I favor the Echo because it seems to cast a heavy arrow "harder". When a target is on the receiving end of that arrow there's a big wallop unleashed.....I feel sorry for the target! Both bows are of string follow design and the same poundage. The NM has bamboo core wood whereas the Echo has walnut. Both bows are sweethearts to shoot!  Horserod

Toelke Super Ds and I still occasionally shoot a Classic Whip H.S. that is also ridiculously quiet. Dan's bow models go through an extensive r&d process where many bows are built, shot and cut up for firewood and an improved bow built to start the cycle again. When a bow is perfected and offered for sale it is going to be not just quiet but smooth and stable and well mannered by any measure. I have owned quite a few and have been to his shop and shot dozens more, they all shoot well, like a Toelke.

My NM Whisper followed by my Two Tracks Echo. There's a reason Steve named it a Whisper. Both are 51#@28 and I shoot 540gn. douglas fir.
