Walk with my little Red Wing
« on: January 30, 2015, 09:40:00 PM »
Went out goofing with my little wing recurve the other day.  Made about six stands . On the third had two come in to about fifty or so yards and stare at me , tried lip squeaks but they was not hungry enough. On the last stand had them barking at me but could not see them .   Then to my left an ugly one comes trotting pass me. Drew back and shot ,just a little too far in my leading but it worked . Did not go more than five feet

This guy was hungry.

Also seen this big owl think its a great grey had no ears on its head and was as big as a red tail hawk. He's in the center of the picture in the tree.

The ground squirrels are starting to come out now mostly big old males . Nice fat targets but hard to put a sneak on.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
Yip yipahooooo yipyipyip.

Decided to pick his brain huh? Nice to put 'em down quick. Looks like you had a fun day. Now come to Michigan and start shooting a few thousand.   :archer2:

Nice! Can't kill those buggers too dead in my opinion. Kind of a shame to use such a pretty arrow on something that ugly though lol.

Good shooting! Always envious of your coyote kill success. But always proud for you.
