Colorado Bowyers
« on: February 02, 2015, 08:19:00 AM »
I am getting the two year itch to buy a new bow. I was thinking about buying local here in Colorado. I'v heard of most bowyers in Colorado. Who would you recommend as a bowyer in Colorado? Thank you.

Sorry to say Vince from MOHAWK Bows isn't building any more. He's from Conifer.

Vintage Works is in Colorado - only down-side is a loooong wait list, probably on the order of 2 years I'm guessing. But it doesn't cost you anything to get on the wait list. I own two, currently on the list for a third.

Here's a couple of pics of my 1962, all phenolic riser:

This is basically the same bow, just with macassar ebony riser w/ shedua I-beam:

Britt, Tom is selling his bows for him. Buddy Gould is his name. Nice longbows.

Bryan Holley builds Spirit longbows and sells them through RMSG (sponsor).  I would highly recommend his bows.

Keith Chastain/Wapiti would be my choice as well. I got my bow 13 years ago and is still my favorite. I remember a very short wait time.

Dave Johnson Longbow 66" 60#@27"
