quiver Hood foam
« on: February 03, 2015, 11:17:00 AM »
I have a custom made side quiver and need some new foam for it, the foam that was in it looks like is the thundrhorn replacement foam but it is a bit small for the quiver. I need to find a piece I can cut to fit.  Any ideas??? I won this quiver in a St Judes auction and it was made by Roughcountry.

I use closed cell foam, that is available at most garden centers.Gardeners use it as a knee pad.Big enough to get several quiver inserts per sheet!Wally World also carries it!

Second that! They make a couple different types of foam for those too some denser than others.
The only problem with them is you may have to use blue or pink!

Easily shaped with a knife and a belt sander. Add some Barge cement and you will be better than new.
I had a really good group going... until I shot the second arrow.

Canoe foam works too..those blocks that snap onto the rim of a canoe when you put it (upside down) on the roof of a truck...

flip-flops. I got a platform pair at the end of the summer for $1. Very dense, very durable.

Danny, I fixed an old Black Widow quiver with a 1.5 inch thich piece of kneeling pad rubberized foam. The kneeling pad comes in a 1'x2' shape and gives enough replacement hood material to last you a long time. Very easy to shape and work with.
