That other post got me thinking about a question I had a while ago. I have played with flemish twist strings a little, mostly on my kids bows.
The story starts when I received my SBD string from Pierre. I immediately noticed that the middle seemed normal, but the outer thirds looked beautiful and had a nice pronounced rope looking weave.
Fast forward to first string I made. Seemed normal in every way. Sweet, called it a win.
Then on second string for the girl I didn't roll it on my leg but hand twisted it the entire way. I ended up with that pretty rope weave all the way.
The rope weave isn't as round, simply because the pronounced valleys but I dont see how that's a problem really.
So what's the deal with this. Is one bad and one good? Just different styles or what?
