Newb (sort of)
« on: February 22, 2015, 06:17:00 PM »
I used to shoot longbows about twenty years ago. Now I'm looking to get back into shooting again. I still have my Asbel Bighorn (55#@28") bow and my Archery Traditions Bamboo Longhunter (72#@28"). But being twenty years older and not being the young buck I used to be I'm going to have to get a new bow. Looking at the Mohawk Legacy three piece with 40 or 45 # limbs to start. Hopefully I've forgotten all the bad shooting habits I used to have.

Just thought I'd say howdy and introduce myself. Particularly looking to get together with others in North Carolina.
Shoot straight and true in all things.

Welcome back, Harold, I'm lawyering in the western end of the state, Ashevegas, when I'm not obsessing over old bows, shooting stumps and waiting for hunting season to roll back around. You have some serious hunting sticks from your earlier trad adventures!

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

Check out CTA here in North Carolina. We have monthly club shoots on the first Saturday of the month.

Our membership is very active and we always have a great turnout and food with the price of admission.
