Maddog prairie predator, I have one on order. Have heard nothing but great reviews and you simply cannot beat Mike's prices.

Is it possible that a static recurve could be tuned to a shorter draw and still be very efficient?

60" Tall Tines Stickflinger shoots great for my 25" draw!  It is very smooth and fast for a 25" draw.

Kirk at Bigfoot Bows can build draw length specific limbs for his bows. I believe Steve at Eaglewing bows does as well. Both are sponsors here, and build amazing bows that perform with or out perform the best!

Find yourself a 1959 or earlier 56" Kodiak designed to draw to 26" . There was also  a 56" 1962 Polar designed to draw to 26" but rare above 35#. Do it in style.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I have a 25.5-26 inch draw.

Steve at northern mist really does a good job of tailoring the limbs for best efficiency at you draw length. We have had hour long discussions on the subject of bow limb efficiency at a given draw length.
When I got the bow he made for me it was very easy to see he knows what he is talking about.
My 57# 60" baraga shoots same hit location as my 63# 62" other bow. That's a 6# difference and same trajectory with a 700 grain arrow.
Lots of great bowyers out there. Lots of great options. For me Steve at northern mist is at the top of that list.

Just to add to my earlier post....58" prairie predator, 47#@27", brown glass, bocote riser, locator grip, overlays, with 2 custom strings, $290.00 (including delivery!) for a bow custom made for me. At least check out Mad dog archery.
