what a surprise!
« on: October 06, 2007, 01:25:00 AM »
Just got the December issue of Peterson's Bowhunting and to my joyous surprise I find on page 90 an honest to goodness traditional archery story. And by none other than our very own dsturgisjr! Great story! What a refreshing change for this magazine. No treestands, 300 fps arrows, 50 yard shots. On the ground at spitting distance with longbows. Sounds like you and Dale had a blast! Way to go Denny!

Sweet! I got it but to be honest I hadn't even opened it because I wasn't in the mood to sort through it's usual content for something worth while. Now I know what page to start on.

I always enjoy Denny's work and look forward to my TBM magazine for his regular articles. He also makes great trad movies and is an excellent ambassador for our sport.

Thanks guys. The only sad part about that story is it was written before Bill Baker passed away. We got to visit him this year, but he was too sick to hunt and passed shortly after we got home. He will be missed.
