Love these kind of threads. I got the old part down pretty good but no pics of me , or very few at any time of my life. I do have one where we killed a bunch of coyotes and bobcats in eastern Oregon somewhere but no idea where. I just have been kind of camera shy or never bothered to haul one around. Too bad too because I have seen and been part of some really awesome stuff over time.
But I really enjoy your pics.
God bless, Steve

As I mentioned my greatest regret is not having any pictures taken when I was 11 in the mid fifties and received my new longbow, quiver, and arrows. Not one.
Then I didn't have any taken of my second bow, a solid fiberglass recurve when I was 14 or 15.
Then when I started to bowhunt in 1967 I didn't take any pictures. I took very few from 1969 through the 90s because I hunted a military facility inside the security area and you'd loose your privileges if caught with a camera inside the security area.
So a lot of my pictures are repeats and don't catch my archery and bowhunting formative years.

My first deer, October of 1977. Back then I shot a compound unaided. Switched to stickbows, and never looked back.

Kip, I was going to school in Monroe from 1972 to 1975. I made two of Jacks rabbit hunts, I beleive in 74 and 75, got
A few pics somewhere if I can find them. Remember we were hauled in by wagons, very muddy. I think they even had a cook
Out, very good time for a youngster.

I've always been a little wild. Rumor has it I may have been raised by wild dogs.
My Mother snapped this picture of me when I was two years old. I'm sure I had a bow by then but it's not in the picture

pred80, most of us do things in the reverse order - we get old and then want pictures. The trick is knowing enough when you are young to take the pics and then get old. The other way around just doesn't seem to work.
It also helps if you have something besides a Roy Rogers pin-hole box camera when you are young

Yeah taking pictures was never considered then. Plus no one had a camera.

Observe my son Jeff's form in 1973 .
Now observe the form in 2014. Can you tell me what's different?
