Last year I made my first quiver. It was out of green sticks for a primitive hunt. I spent so much time trying to making the quiver that on my third attempt when I had something that looked like a quiver and not a vase I couldn't stand the thin wimpy strap I had on it... for those of you like me that enjoy little build a longs and the curious progression of a new hobby, here are some photos to look at...
So I had an excuse to buy my first chunk of veggie tanned cow hide and begin to experiment. Like everything there is a lot to learn. Different kinds of leather, stains, stitches and fasteners... but from the first piece of leather and simplest tools it was fun.
Next I wet formed a sheath for a new knife...
